lyrics

The year is 1946, and a paradise has risen.
Rapture was born, and a new age came with it.
Art would thrive, and law wouldn’t interfere.
And with the sweat of your brow, it can be your city as well.

A city where the artist would not fear the censor,
Where the scientist would not be bound by petty morality,
Where the great would not be constrained by the small.
But with every utopia comes a failure.

Fighting and looting, murder and poverty.
It all happened so fast to a place so new,
Chaos broke out and society fell apart.
Addiction served as the cause of it all.

A city where the artist would not fear the censor,
Where the scientist would not be bound by petty morality,
Where the great would not be constrained by the small.
And with the sweat of your brow, it can be your city as well.

A savior is born, but for all the wrong ways.
Controlled by the man who started the plague

He would jump at a single phrase,
As uttered by his master.
“A man chooses and a slave obeys.
Now cleanse the filth of this place,
Would you kindly?”
